In its first attempt, the Cleveland Opportunity Center was successful in obtaining a $789,700 grant from the US Department of Housing & Urban Development to build 3 group homes for chronically mentally ill residents under the Section 811 program. The homes
have been built on residential lots in the City of Cleveland and are currently
being occupied.
The homes house 6 residents each and provide supportive services on site and through the sponsors' other resources.
The award provided much needed housing for the clients of Cleveland Opportunity
Center. An additional $361,500 in rental assistance was provided by HUD in the grant.
Zerbel & Associates is proud to be the Consultant for this project and especially proud to have been instrumental in obtaining this grant for Cleveland on its first attempt.
