Chisholm Trail Counseling Services, Inc. of El Reno Oklahoma received another grant from the US Department of Housing & Urban Development to build independent living apartments for 23 mentally disabled residents in Chickasha Oklahoma. The $1,239,000 grant was awarded under the HUD Section 811 program which provides funds for construction and other development costs.
This is the second straight year of successful funding for Chisholm Trail in their effort to provide better housing and supportive services for their clients. The project will be constructed in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Operating costs for the apartment community will be covered by resident rent and an initial 5-year Project Rental Assistance Agreement of $271,500 through HUD.
The apartments will provide an independent living arrangement for residents with supportive services available on site and in the community.
Construction is currently underway.
